So, last night I was flipping through the pages of Memoirs of a Geisha looking for a certain paragraph.
This paragraph was so insightful I felt I just needed to share it.

"Grief is a most peculiar thing; we're so helpless in the face of it. It's like a window that will simply open of its own accord. The room grows cold, and we can do nothing but shiver. But it opens a little less each time, and a little less; and one day we wonder what has become of it."

If anyone knows of any songs, poetry or just comments that have been so insightful please share.

My mother is totally unreasonable... sometimes she doesn't make any sense.
I'm not posting it to be angry about my life but just because I believe most people will find humour in this because I fail to, just because it's happening to me.

Information: My cousin Claire and her 2 siblings all happen to be blessed with too much energy and ADD. They live in a madhouse, and they like to talk.

Mother: "Laura, call your cousin Claire, it's her birthday."
Laura: "No, I was dealing with kids all day. You call."
Mother: "No. She's not my cousin."
Laura: "K, where are we going for dinner?"
Mother: "Nowhere, until you call your cousin."
Laura: "Why can't someone else call?"
Mother: "Because no one else will."
(Dad sits there being silent even though it's his sisters' kid.)
Laura: "I'm not calling her."
Mother: "Then you're not going out tonight, and you can't have Ethan here."
Laura: "That's no fair, that only applies to me 'cause Mitchell never goes out! Why don't you take away his computer then."
Mother: (Silence).......
Laura: YOU'RE BEING RIDICULOUS! YOU'RE NOT EVEN MAKING SENSE!

....I ended up calling my cousin.

Hey all...
I got back from Caitlin's cottage last night (with Julia) and we had an awesome time. Except now I'm feeling shitty and my head kinda feels like it's gonna fall off. But I've fulfilled one of my life long dreams... just take a guess which one. I only have two days of Char left... which is kind of a scary thought... not really scary but more intimidating. I could always crawl back into my hole in the ground. But I'm happy because I'm sick of this stupid school and my stupid teachers. I will miss some of the people though, cause there are some really great people there, even if they don't belong there. So I guess that's a good thing for me.
